WE SPECIALIZE IN SOLAR POWERED BOAT DOCKS
solar docks
NASP has been working with the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers on solar boat dock projects for 15 years. Planning, system design, Corp approval, and most important, customer satisfaction, are what NASP is all about. With solar power for your boat dock there's no need to worry about overhead utility power lines, or monthly electric bills and other fees.
The load in wattage and how long it will be on, will need to be provided in order to properly calculate the solar array size, and the battery bank. The amount of amperage needed on your 120 volt AC loads will determine your inverter size and the wiring size for the batteries. Dc voltage lighting greatly increases the overall efficiency.
A one slip dock starts at about $2500 with all the wiring installed.(basic solar kit)
A common kit would include:
130 Watt Sharp solar module (25 year warranty)
2000 Watt Vector inverter ( Modulated sine wave)
Charge control (Pro star with display)
Trojan T-105 battery or Exide Gc-110
30' of #12 awg tray cable
3' set of double #4 awg inverter cables w/ terminals
Other choices
85 W solar panel
1000 W, 1500 W, 2000 W , 2500 W inverter , and also true sine wave inverters
Charge control with or without, digital display
12 volt battery (wet or maintenance free)
or (2) 6 volt batteries for longer amp hours
12" to 30" flourecent, 13 w flood , even thin neon "boat slip locator" lights
12 volt bilge pump for water or 120 vac submersible pumps
12 volt or 120 volt outlets for any need
Note: battery chargers may require a larger battery bank
A common 2 slip dock starts at about $3500 depending on the layout and the
accessories. This generally includes:
130 W Panel
2000 W inverter
Pro Star digital charge control
(4) Trojan t-105 6 Volt Batteries
(2-3) 12 vdc light 30' 30 W
All wiring with (1) switch and (3) ac outlets
Aluminum System cabinets are also available
This 3 slip dock on Bull ShoalsLake (Above) has a 300 watt solar array, 2400 watt Xantex DR inverter, (6 volt) Trojan T-105 batteries, Dc voltage lighting and 120 volt Ac (ground fault protected) outlets, all in EMT metal conduit.
